「真正重要的東西,眼睛是看不見的」,這件作品是由具有醫學背景的「病態美學」團隊所創作呈現。

展品內容結合如藝術作品般的病理切片影像、深入淺出的醫學論述、以及訴說你我故事的文學詩作;透過與視覺感官有著強烈聯結的美術館場域與氛圍之展示手法,提醒觀者意識到無聲無息隱藏於生活中細懸浮微粒(PM2.5)的存在,並能認識它對人體的呼吸器官可能造成的不同疾病,進而警覺那些日常眼睛看不見,卻真正重要的東西。

This work, entitled "What is Essential Is Invisible to the Eye", was created by Biopsy Art, which team members mostly come from medical field. It includes art-like images of pathological specimens to demonstrate medical theories in simple terms, as well as to poetically tell the stories of the sufferings. With the visual experience bearing a strong connection to fine arts exhibition, the work reminds us to be aware of the silent but health-hazard fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in the air. It also provides an understanding of the different diseases of the respiratory system caused by PM2.5 and calls on people to remain vigilant and to remember that it is sometimes what we don't see that is most important.
