全球化的面孔,穿越了國際的海平面,以各種不同的方法、姿態、侵略、混搭,進入它所陌生的其它表皮,進行強勢的混種與侵略。

《在現場》作品指向了當代資本主義工業化的發展,影像再現土地與工業區的樣貌,反應台灣在工業化中,進入了全球資本積累市場運作的剝削機制中。作品裡試圖反應一個半邊陲地區的樣貌。如同影像直接對準一片無聲的土地,工業區的強勢面貌,掩蓋、閹割一切的土地記憶。勞動的土地只剩下廢墟的樣貌,廢墟的不完整狀態。影像時間中,一個蒙太奇的對照與觀看,一個強勢持續的進行與排放,影像中土地的時間在當刻停止,如同文明在此刻停止。

另《在現場》作品中,單一鏡頭語言,試圖從紀錄片運動---影像的述說框架中轉向時間—影像的語體,並試圖從影像的日常性,跳離運動中的情感連結。而是以電影化的影像與自然的環境音之間的關係,共謀再現的題旨,刺探本不可見與聽見的力量所在,影像成為時間—影像,進入作者、觀者的身體。

The forces of globalization have been crossing the surfaces of different oceans and borders. Through various methods, gestures, mixing and incursions, globalization has been intruding into the skin of strange lands that it used to be unfamiliar with, followed by aggressive hybridization and invasion.

On the Scene focuses on the development of modern capitalism and industrialization. Scenes of land and industrial areas are represented to expresses Taiwan's role in the exploitative mechanisms of global capital accumulation in market operations. An image shows a swath of voiceless land and the dominance of an industrial park which covers and deprives that land of its memories. What is eventually left is ruins. A montage provides opportunities for the comparison between the continuing emissions by factories and the deadly silence of land, as well as the contrast between the progressing of time and the ceasing of it. The moment that time is ceasing for the land is the moment that civilization also stops.
